Sephora Sydney Grand Opening

As some of you may already know, I was lucky enough to attend Sephora Sydney's Grand Opening day. I'll be doing a video on all the goodies I picked up but I wanted to talk about the actual opening day on here as well as some sneak peaks into what I bought!
Two bags, oops!
This is everything I bought.
Out of it's packaging.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation in Fair Beige
Tarte Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette
(you can see me in the reflection, hello!)
Tarte Pin Up Girl Blush Palette
Bite Luminous Creme Lipstick in Fig
Benefit & Sephora freebies
Sephora Color Festival Palette. This was the gift you got if you presented your boarding pass at the till.
Sephora Vanity Case. This was given out to the first 150 people in the line, I was number 93.
These are some snaps from the day from various sources. I got to Sephora at 6am, crazy, I know. I managed to get 93rd in line and snagged a place within the barricade. Very soon after I arrived, I met Lauren, Jaz, Kat and Alex. It was so nice to have such lovely people to fill in the 6 hour wait with. We got interviewed by Buzzfeed and Channel 9 which was all very exciting. Sephora treated the people in line very well. They came around with muffins and coffee earlier in the morning and later on they gave out caramel popcorn and these adorable little pink mirrors.

The countdown to the opening (at 12pm) was insane, you could feel the excitement in the air as the clock ticked down to zero. A dance troupe performed a routine to Shake It Off and all the staff came rushing out the doors looking very excited and danced along with their own little routine. People flooded in the doors and the shop was packed, making it very difficult to manouver between the counters. Getting colour matched to foundation was near impossible and the wait for the checkouts was enormous but that was ok as I met up with Jaz and Lauren again and we chatted while in line.

The Tarte, MUFE and Kat Von D stands were jam packed and you had to try really hard to get anywhere near them. I ended up getting the two Tarte palettes and the Bite Lipstick in this trip. I walked past again later on and the chaos had died down so I wandered in again, got colour matched to some foundations and claimed the boarding pass offer.

All in all, it was a pretty awesome experience. I don't think I'll be camping out for the Melbourne store opening but I may be there on opening day. I'd like to say a big thanks to Jaz, Lauren, Kat and Alex who made the wait so much more entertaining. Jaz and Lauren will be starting their very own YouTube channel very soon so keep your eyes peeled as they're some pretty awesome chicks. For now I'll leave you a link to their Instagram.

Keep an eye out on my YouTube channel for my Sydney haul as I ended up shopping at a few places and thought I'd put it all into a collective haul.
