My Current Base & Cheek Routine

Ok, what are we dealing with here? A little bit of redness here and there, a few freckles, gnarly dark circles, a solitary spot and some pretty lack-lustre skin due to the sudden weather change here in Melbourne.

Up first to the batting pitch, aka my face, is the Face of Australia Face Base 3 in 1 Primer. This stuff is like super glue for your make up while hydrating your skin and providing a light SPF. It's a true miracle worker.

Next up is concealer. I personally like to wear mine under my foundation as I feel it looks more seamless. I've traded out my Bobbi Brown offerings for a more purse friendly option, Bourjois Happy Light (21) and L'Oreal True Match (2)*.

After that comes the reason for this post, L'Oreal True Match Foundation (C3)*. Man this stuff is awesome! This particular shade is a perfect match to my skin right now. When I apply it, it looks like I'm just buffing better skin onto my skin. I'd say it has a semi-matte finish and like everyone says, it is a pretty close dupe for Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk.

Bam! We've got some cheekbones starting to make a reappearance. For contouring at the moment I start off using the Bourjois Bronzing BB Cream. I'll save you the rave on this for another day but I'll just let you know that this baby is a fantastic multi-tasker.

I top off my contour by intensifying it using the Sleek Contour Kit (Light).

A light dusting of L'Oreal's BB Powder (Light) is swept over my T-Zone and under my eyes to keep me from getting shiny and to set my concealer and foundation.

Almost done! The last step in my routine is to add a pop of colour back into my cheeks. I'm currently using Sportsgirl's Make Me Blush Cream Blusher (Pink) which imparts a nice subtle sheen. This is the step I find that I change up the most.

And that's it really! This is what it all looks like put together.
On the left my base and eyes are done and on the right I added Revlon's Lip Butter in Pink Truffle to make the look slightly more autumnal.
